Katie Smelden

Katie is a Paralegal at Maverick Law Group. As part of her duties in the office, she researches legal questions and issues, drafts documents under the direction of our attorneys, among other duties.

Originally from Hillsboro, ND, Katie made Velva, ND her home in 2012 when her husband's career led them to MAFB. Since then, she's been diving into her passion for law and making a difference in our community! Katie graduated with an associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Minnesota State Community Technical College in 2021.

When she's not busy at work, Katie loves to unwind by catching up with friends, enjoying the latest movies, and getting her sweat on with her Peloton!
